Offset Aluminium Anode with Dual-Bend Flat Bar Insert

  • This stand-off aluminium anode features a trapezoidal cross-section and is molded onto a cranked, galvanized steel flat bar insert. The integrated steel core can be welded directly to the surface of the steel structure it’s designed to protect, creating a strong and reliable bond. Unlike flush-mounted anodes, this stand-off aluminium anode is designed to protrude from the installed surface, meaning the anode material does not directly touch the surface it protects. This design allows for more efficient use of the anode material over its lifespan, with an anode utilization factor reaching between 85 to 90%.

  • This anode is employed for the cathodic protection of nearshore structures or marine engineering facilities. Its applications include offshore platform jackets, drilling rigs, harbor walls and jetties, wind farms, and reclamation projects like piles and sheet piles.

Superior Material Quality

Our slender stand-off anode is cast from high-purity, low-iron alloys and meets the standards set by ISO, NACE, DNV.

Efficient Low Voltage Operation

In seawater and chloride ion-rich electrolytes, this stand-off aluminium anode maintains stable performance, with an operating potential kept between -1.05 to -1.10 volts relative to a saturated calomel electrode (SCE).

Lightweight Design

This stand-off aluminium anode, being less dense than zinc, is lighter and more manageable, facilitating easier handling during installation.

Variably Sized Configurations

Our stand-off aluminium anodes come in Short and Long varieties, differentiated by their length-to-width ratio. The length of the anode influences its resistivity and, consequently, its current capacity.
