  • Zinc anodes serve not only in cathodic protection roles but also function as earthing cells.

  • These anodes are configured as earthing cells with two zinc rods, insulated separately. Typically, one electrode is connected to the structure requiring protection, while the other is linked to an earthing mechanism. Encased in a low-resistivity backfill, these electrodes facilitate the passage of substantial stray currents between them.

  • Pre-packaged zinc grounding cells, following ASTM Standard Metals guidelines, offer low resistance across insulating joints while minimizing the loss of cathodic protection current.
